Safety in trampoline parks: 7 tips for parents and supervisors

Fun starts with safety

A day of bouncing is only really fun when everyone feels safe. At Bounce Valley, it's not just about fun, but also about trust. Parents and supervisors want to know that their children can jump, run and slide without a care in the world. And rightly so! So in this blog we tell you how we at Bounce Valley put safety first, and what you yourself can do to make your visit even more carefree.

1. Choose the right park
Not every trampoline or inflatable park is the same. So look carefully at how a park handles safety. At Bounce Valley, we work with specially designed inflatables that are fully tested and certified. Each park has its own safety certificate, issued by a recognised testing body.
Our parks are made of durable materials and are inspected daily. No loose trampolines or hard edges, but soft landings and wide zones where children can move around safely. This is how we combine adventure with security.Wear the right clothes and grip socks

**2. The right outfit really makes a difference **2.
Avoid clothes with zips, sharp buttons or accessories that can get caught. Wear something that is comfortable and moves well with you; sports trousers, leggings or T-shirts are ideal.
And of course: our antibacterial grips socks. These are always included in the ticket price at Bounce Valley, so every visitor gets a new, clean pair of socks on entry. They provide grip, hygiene and stability while jumping.
Extra nice: so you don't have to buy or bring them yourself. Everyone bounces on safe, fresh feet!

3. Always follow the house rules
Our house rules are not there to restrict fun, but rather to make it safe. They are simple and clear:

    • Do not slide or climb until the course is clear.
    • No sharp objects or food on the air cushion.
    • Prefer jewellery, glasses and loose items off or in a locker.
We make the rules extra fun for children: in every park there are cheerful, visual signs with icons and short sentences in children's language. So everyone understands them, even without explanation from mum or dad.
Transparency is important to us: what you see is what you get. No small print, no hidden rules.

4. Supervision is there, but together we see more
Professional supervision is present in every Bounce Valley park. Our staff are trained according to an approved supervision plan and all have a BHV certificate. They know what to do in case of crowds, accidents or exciting situations.
Yet we believe that safety is something you do together. Parents and supervisors are more than welcome to jump along, which is not only more fun, but also safer. This way, you can accompany your child on the air cushion while having fun yourself.

*Tip: use the first few minutes of your visit to explore the areas together. That way children know exactly where they can and cannot jump.

5. Slow start, big fun
The first time at an inflatable park can be overwhelming, especially for young children. Let them calmly get used to the feeling of bouncing. Start on smaller obstacles or slides and slowly build up the pace.
Our parks are spacious, with separate areas for different ages. This way, small bouncers can play safely without being bothered by the bigger jumpers. And for toddlers (up to 5 years old), there is even Mini Bounce on quiet mornings.
Slow start = longer fun. And that's exactly what we want.

6. Healthy hygiene: every jump fresh and safe
Hygiene is an important part of safety. That is why we clean our air cushions daily according to a fixed schedule. In addition, they are regularly professionally cleaned and checked for wear and tear.
The grip socks also contribute to this: they reduce the risk of slipping and keep the park clean.

Did you know that Bounce Valley also keeps a hygiene inspection report for each location? That way we can be sure that each park meets the highest standards.

7. Ask questions, we're happy to help
No question is too crazy. Our staff are always ready to help, from explaining the zones to advising on what is best for your child to wear.
We believe in open communication. Rather one question too many than an unclear moment during the jump. That's what we mean by transparency: honest, clear and always close by.

Safe bouncing = carefree enjoyment

At Bounce Valley, we believe that safety is the foundation of fun. Whether you're watching from the stands or jumping along yourself: your child is in good hands. With our certified air cushions, trained supervisors and grips socks always included, families can enjoy carefree fun.
