The right outfit for a day of bounce fun
Are you about to bounce and wondering what to actually wear?
Good question! Because the right outfit really makes the difference between moving freely or getting stuck halfway on your zip. In this blog, we tell you exactly what to wear on a trampoline or bouncy castle. So that you and your kids can bounce around safely, comfortably and stylishly.
Comfort is key: this is the easiest way to move
An airpark is all about movement. Jumping, running, sliding and rolling. You can do it all. That's why comfortable clothes are the foundation of your outfit.
Choose:
- Sporty clothes that move nicely (e.g. a t-shirt, sports top or light sweatshirt).
- Airy fabrics such as cotton or stretch material.
- Pants without sharp buttons or zips, so you don't get stuck on the airpark.
- Long trousers are often more convenient than short ones, as they protect your legs better when sliding or scrambling. But on hot days, short sports trousers will do just fine, of course.
Most important: wear something that allows you to move freely and does not sag while jumping.
Safety first: this should (and shouldn't)
At Bounce Valley, we think safety is at least as important as fun. That's why there are a few dress rules to help prevent accidents:
- No shoes or slippers, you leave them in the shoe racks. Always jump in socks.
- No jewellery or watches, rings, bracelets and necklaces can get caught or hit other bouncers.
- No sharp objects in your pockets. Keys, phones or coins are not only awkward but also dangerous.
- Useful though: a rubber band to tie up your hair so it doesn't fly in your face. And if you wear glasses: use a sturdy frame or sports band.
*
In short: keep it simple, comfortable and safe. Then you can fully enjoy jumping.
Why grip socks are indispensable
No Bounce Valley experience without good socks! Our antibacterial grip socks are mandatory on the air cushions. They provide extra grip, prevent slipping and keep the park clean and hygienic.
Another plus: they are super comfortable and look cheerful. Thanks to the rubber studs on the bottom, you always have good control over your movements whether you are running down the assault course or trying to do a somersault.
At Bounce Valley, you don't have to buy them separately, grips socks are always included with your ticket. So every visitor gets a new, clean pair of socks upon entry. So you can be sure you can bounce safely, hygienically and in style!
Outfit tips for kids, teens and parents
Everyone can join in at Bounce Valley from mini-bouncers to adult bouncers. That's why we give some tips for each group:
For kids (4-8 years)
- Wear light leggings or shorts and a t-shirt that fits well.
- Avoid loose strings or belts.*
- Bring an extra shirt if necessary, after an hour of jumping it can get quite warm!
For teenagers (9-15 years)
Choose sporty clothes with stretch, e.g. a dry-fit shirt and training trousers.
- No jeans: they restrict your movement.
- Accessories? Leave them at home, safety over style.
For parents and supervisors
Adults can (and should!) participate too. Therefore:
- Put on something in which you can move easily, such as sports leggings or sweatpants.
- Avoid loose pockets or clothing with metal parts.
- And yes: grips socks are also compulsory for adults.
After all, jumping together is the most fun, and with the right outfit, you'll be ready to bounce as hard as your kids.
A quick checklist before heading to the park:
- Outerwear: sports shirt or t-shirt, no buttons or zips.
- Undergarments: sports trousers or leggings, no sharp accessories.
- Feet: Bounce Valley grips socks (compulsory and available at the front desk).
- Extras: hair fixed, jewellery off, pockets empty.
It's that simple! With this outfit, you are ready for a day of fun, exercise and safe jumps.
